Well, Monday April 20, 1995 was significant to me, and to a few other folks in Texarkana and across the states, but because of recent changes in what folks can say on radio or online, nothing was mentioned, not a whisper. So, Happy Anniversary KYGL-FM... 20 years rocking Texarkana!

KYGL-FM has been on the radio since April 20, 1995, and the only radio station in Texarkana that has the same basic classic rock format today that it had when we signed on the air all those years ago, one of the only stations in the whole Ark-La-Tex that can claim that.  Plus, KYGL.com is also the first station in Texarkana to stream online, and has been doing so since 1995,

Phil McKay worked mornings for a while, unfortunately he died while he was with us, and will always a part of the Eagle. Phil O'Bryan and Pat O'Briant worked with us. Neil Kelly worked mornings for awhile. We had Jim WeaverChuck Taylor, and Lisa LindseyEric Raines was on the air for more than 10 years. Everyone that worked at the Eagle over all of this time are still what I would call very good friends.

That the Eagle has always been deeply involved in our community is something to be proud of. We had so many local contests, and events, and the crowds have always supported the Eagle and it has been an amazing experience for all of us that have had the honor of working at KYGL over these many years and getting to know fans of the station. That was before everything got so corporate.

The Eagle will keep rocking Texarkana! I hope because of all of the work that many special people have put into it, you will continue to rock the Eagle right back for another 20 years!
