Free Children's Self-Defense Seminar for the Safety of Our Kids

There is a free children's self-defense seminar scheduled for Saturday May 9, 2015 from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p,m, at Texarkana Self Defense, located at 2904 Leopard Drive in Texarkana, Texas.

All are welcome to attend a free "Bully Busters" presentation Saturday May 9. This is a children's self defense seminar and "fun day" at Texarkana Self Defense located at 2904 Leopard Drive (across from LE High School).

Chief Instructor Rick Haggins, and TSD black belts will be on hand to offer individual attention to kids with particular topics or scenarios they may wish to discuss. All with the mission to not only make sure these kids learn communication and techniques to avoid violent situations and skills to deal with violent situations when forced but to also be able to feel safe. There are different types of bullying and all can seem so devastating to our young people. Our professional instructors strive to give our youngsters the skills they need to thrive in today's world.

Our "Kempo Kidz" program is for boys and girls between the ages of 6 and 12 years old. There will be some fun instruction, activities, games, and refreshments for all.

We have a Krav Kidz program for older boys, girls and self-defense programs for adults that we will be presenting information on also.

We have an extensive program that helps youngsters and parents deal with bullying, in person and online. Our programs bring children increased confidence, healthy respect for adults and authority figures, patience, healthy bodies and fitness and a strong sense of courtesy for others.

There will be representatives on hand to do Child ID's thru New York Life to offer education to children to be safe at home, at school, at play or wherever they may go. The information gathered will meet the requirements and standards for the Amber Alert System.
