Huckabee Officially Seeking Republican Nomination for President [VIDEO]

WSJ via YouTube
From Hope Arkansas today, former Arkansas Governor and Texarkana Baptist Preacher Mike Huckabee officially put his name in the Republican hat for the party nomination to run for President of the United States. Here are some highlights from his speech.

I am a fan of Huckabee. He joined us regularly at the stations back in the day. I like to think Tiffany and I influenced his eventual move into radio. (lol... sorta.)  I went to Easter service at Beech Street Baptist a few times when he was preaching there. He is good people. Sure, he may have a little money now, but I still see him as one of us. He's our "Texarkana Folk". He had sought the nomination in 2008 but the party mistakenly went with McCain.

A few things from his speech at Hempstead Hall in Hope this morning...

Our veterans are not going to be left on the streets and in waiting rooms to rot, but they're going to be treated with the dignity they have earned and deserve...
If congress wants to take away anyone's retirement, let them end their own congressional pensions NOT your Social Security...
As President I promise you that we will no longer merely try to contain Jihadism, we will conquer it...

Here is video of speech highlights posted from the Wall Street Journal...
